When you order on the internet...

Last week i purchased a new Mod for my Maxima. Now after patiently waiting for ot to arrive i have contacted the post office and they informed me it MAY be LOST..

Which is why i ask this question..
When you order on the internet <or anywhere else> do you expect the SHIPPING party to provide you with all pertinent information ie..Tracking #,Method of Shipment,If the item is insured> to your order?

And i only ask because the shipping party i am dealing with gave me the following response to the above question.. Thanks

Yo Jagoff I gave you a confirmation# that should be good enough. If your lazy *** can't call the post office & give them a confirmation# & ask what's up with the shipment of that package, that's not my problem. Actually I don't need to give you a confirmation# but I did. Sorry I couldn't give you the confirmation# promptly but the delivery of the product to the post office to ship it out wasn't delayed. I just got the receipt & it appears it was delivered 1st class. Sorry the post office system sucks & your package got delayed. Quit your *****ing b/c its only been 8 post office business days....not ****in months!!!! Thats a little over a week.....if you needed it that bad you should of told me & you could of paid more for express shipping!!!!!!! Not being rude but I give people respect they give me. If you took my statement "Sorry can't help since I don't work for the post office." the wrong way then thats your problem....I think I was pretty blunt & nice at the same time. I coulda just bull****ted you & said "yeah talked to post office & it appears they are backed up but you should get it shortly"."

I second that motion. He should have givin you a tracking number at the least. Dont do business with this guy ever again. Depending on what your email was to him he is a bad person to do business with.

if you purchase online from a private party there is no written law that says they must provide you with delivery information

proper etiquette would be that the seller does provide the buyer with delivery information.

obiviously your seller is a rude disrepectful a$$ add him to the bad seller list just for being a PIA

don't work for the post office" I think you would be quite ****ED as I am?
Now I have waited patiently for the tracking #. Ok I got it after quite some
time. Now according to USPS site the package is sitting FIVE MINUTES FROM MY
****ING HOUSE.. But I can't even get any info from them because YOU can't

sounds like you were patient... I'd cancel payment and see how fast he reacts to that. If it shows up then pay him, but if he's going to be like that about it, don't let him have your money while you're waiting for something he's not helping you find

That's no way to conduct business.

I agree, cancel payment and watch him squirm until you get your stuff.

I agree it looks shady, but at the same time, YELLING at someone and random curses really don't help the situation, so I think maybe you made a slight misstep with that last e-mail. His reply didn't help either, of course. Hope you resolve this soon, good luck.

OK NOW FOR MY SIDE OF STORY.....

This guy is scam artist....first off let me say that the AUCTION ended on 02/03/03, he made the payment via paypal on 02/05/03 & my g/f shipped it out 02/06/03 via www.usps.com - confirmation# 03010120000139320061 (Go ahead & check w/ usps website it says it was shipped 02/15/03). So he basically got the product next week after paying for it(per USPS website he received it).

First off before I copy & paste all the emails back & forth from me to him....only reason I blow up at him was b/c he sent me an email w/ a bunch of curses....sorry I don't take $hit like that & I give people respect that they give ME.

I coulda just ignored his emails but I believe in contact all the time & told him the truth that I was fighting w/ g/f. I wasnt about to ask my g/f "can I have the tracking#'s to those packages that you delievered the other day" (she'd woulda probably ripped them up for asking something so stupid in a time we where in).....$hit happens & I couldn't provide him w/ tracking# but it still didn't delay that the item was shipped the day after he paid! Also look @ my EBAY FEEDBACK, I have no reason to rip him off for $162????

Ok here are all emails copied & pasted---------->

sounds to me like you've ALL got some learning to do.

1. nobody in this situation was professional and both of you ended up resorting to cheap insults and name calling.

2. NEVER have someone else ship the stuff for you. ship it yourself, insure it, provide tracking and delivery confirmation, and provide it to the buyer in a timely fashion.

that's just basic online business sense. anything less than that is unacceptable- ESPECIALLY when you have someone else mail a package and don't have the guts to get the info from them because you're fighting. that's not the receipient's problem, it's YOURS. Another reason you shouldn't mix personal stuff with business.

seems a bad deal all around...great price for the alarm though...it can be a dual responsibility in tracking the package as I have had more than my share of problems with shipping and doing tracing of lost/misdirected packages...it is no fun...

I have a better story but will spare you all the drama...

hope this works out and you guys are able to put this behind you and move on...I remember watching the auction.

Dude....if you didn't get it, ebay will charge you a deductible of $25 to even BEGIN the investigation.

Your best bet is to call your credit card company and just tell them that you did not receive the product.

However, if you are attempting to get back at KPazzo by filing a false claim for a product that you really did receive, that's a borderline federal offense......

Oh lordy lord, I love when a public forum becomes a home for retarded behavior. Sounds like between the 2 of you, neither is cut out for the purchasing or selling of items online or elsewhere, but thanks for playing, Rod, tell them what they've won!

A brand new kick in the ***! <applause>

Thank you. I have contacted my CC company..

As for getting back at K SPAZZO 6.. Why would i need to file any false claim?? If i recieved it i would have said so..
Bottom line is:

I win Auction
I Pay for product..
I ask for tracking #s and/or a information regarding shipping and get treated like a piece of **** cuz his girl is on the rag..
Product is shipped to wrong address OR usps ****s up

Cmon Now..

yes, i was wrong too in my replies but i put my personal frustration into this situation which didn't help (and I will just learn from my mistakes)....

p.s. I don't care if you come public or not I have a tracking# proving I shipped it....Sorry but I don't see why USPS would lie on their website saying it was delievered but you claim it wasn't received?????

Dont you undestand it is not a question of whether you shipped it? Rather WHERE you shipped it.. And if you feel the need to confirm where you shipped it to please do not do it on the board.. you have emptied enough of my information into cyberspace..

Also does USPS make a regular practice of leaving parcels on individual doorsteps?

And was a signature required for this shipment?
When i spoke to the Post Office they said it was only a "DELIVERY CONFIMATION #"

you brought it upon yourself....if you wanna take this to email then feel free...i can confirm address I shipped it to & what not....also you feel too much of your info is exposed-- then delete thread-- I dont feel I exposed anything anybody else can get.....

I'm cool w/ my mailman so he knows to leave packages in the back if i'm not there....not sure how your mailman works....maybe you should complain to your local post office w/ the tracking# I providing you & asked who delievered the mail on 02/15/03 b/c you never got package & USPS website is claiming you did....contact me via email & I'll confirm address I shipped this to.

no signature was required....post office is correct...if they can figure this out then have them figure which postal carrier scanned the box on 02/15/03 that it was delievered......

Other than that I have no reason not to believe USPS that it was delievered.
