I'm closer to doing my VI install thanks to Harlan. I waited about a month for the switch but it's been cold as hell up here anyway so I've been putting the kit together slowly but surely. Does he put these things together as orders come in?

Hey this Harlan TurboHawk guys doesn't return any of my emails. I got my VI in 3 days and it looks like my rpm switch is going to take 3 weeks or more. Has this guy ever responded to your emails at all. Also have any of you guys tried the summit brand rpm switch for $45. I talked to there tech support line and it is supposed to support either a switched ground/12v out and get a tach signal from the c/o/p ignition. It is also adjustable via internal dip? switches from 2000 to 9800 rpm. If this rpm switch doesn't show up soon I thinks I will give it a shot.

Deezo:

When I spoke with him a while back, I was under the understanding he makes them as a side hobby/job and fills orders as they come in.

Your chances of getting your e-mail answered are about nil. Matt Harlan is extremely busy, but I can tell you he is an honest guy. I don't know of anyone at Corral.net, CamaroZ28.com, LS1.com, or Maxima.org that's been screwed over by this guy. Expect 4-6 weeks for the switch. He builds these things at home and in his spare time. He is EXTREMELY popular among ALL auto/motorcycle enthusaists therefore it takes him a while to fill all the orders.

I think he does need to put something on his site that says, "expect delivery in 4-8 weeks".

The Summit unit WILL NOT work. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a Summit tech and we figured out that it will not work with our ignition. It is a similiar design to the Harlan unit, but it's not identical.

The MSD unit will work, but you'll spend well over $120 on the switch, RPM "pills", and the reprogramming to 1 cyclinder that will make the MSD switch useable on our cars.

Your best bet is to be patient and wait for the Harlan switch.

I ordered a Harlan window switch the other day, and it took Harlan about 3 days to receive the funds using Paypal. I'll let you all know when my window switch arrives.
