Getting new wheels...opinion on choice?

I think I've decided on the Mille Miglia HT3s in the light gray finish (I've got a black 96 SE).

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...t+Grey+Painted is tire rack's page for them.

I'm probably going to get the 16x7's with some 225/55-16 tires

anyone have any opinions (either way)?

Don't waste your money on 16" wheels. You will regret it. Plus it's going to be impossible for you to sell 16X7 5 lug wheels later on. Get aleast 17s.

I agree... skimping on wheels is a big mistake. An extra $400 or whatever seems like alot of money at the time, but 9 months down the road when you are wishing you had gotten what you REALLY wanted, $400 is going to seem like a very small price to pay to be happy with your purchase.

Unless of course you don't want anything larger.

Ya i'd have to agree. If its an issue about money, just hold out until someone sells their wheels here on the .org

Well, I don't think I'll be having the money to drop my car anytime in the near future, and from what I've read, 17's dont go very well with the stock height..
I need new wheels because I'm dedicating the stock 15s to my snow tires (I got the car used and they're a little scuffed up and scratched and what not)

If you can only afford 16s but want new wheels then why not try the stock 16s from either 4th or 5th generations. They look nice and are CHEAP. I almost bought those before I decided to look aftermarket. I ended up buying 17s and have a major 4x4 look but I am in the process of fixing that. But whatever you do dont pay over $600 for those wheels!! I paid $100 a piece for my 17s and DiscountTire.

IMO those wheels will not look good in 16s, especially on your car. Too much wheel well and too much rubber will make them look cheap. Get stock 16s as previuosly stated or you could even get a set of non-turbo 300zx wheels.

Get some 2k+ OEM 17s. You can get them cheap from another .org member, and they come with a little bigger profile tire, so the wheel gap won't look as bad.

Go look at Shadow's 19 inch ADRs. Fabulous!

There is someone who just posted today or yesterday had another very nice set of 6 ot 7 spoke wheels. (Blue 4th gen)

Duh, just remembered.. It's the Maxima-of-the-month!
