Well it was there for a oil change when I stopped by surprisingly. Well anyways, the guy who owns it works on a base and is in the military. But, the base mph is 20. He complained when accel up to 20 the tranny at that point could not figure out what gear to select, either 2nd or 3rd. I was like it was fine when I had it. Yes they said that too for normal driving it was fine. But for his 20mph it wasn't! So they found the problem it was the TPS was off. Also NISSAN told them to put a bran new tranny in the car because of its past history. LOL so this guy gets a new dam tranny, but I didn't?! ****ing NISSAN!

Yeah, Nissan's standard policy

is probably one new engine and new/rebuilt tranny per customer....

So I think your 98 did you in when you got a new motor, and the 2k when your tranny had to be redone.

I can vision the entry in the database for your name now:

Russ2kSE:

- 0 available major repair jobs to be covered by Nissan (but was only 2 to begin with)

- Inform customer of past history and future troubles will not be covered for any additional problems with current or future vehicles

Hopefully your Sentra will survive without any major engine probs, as Nissan's powertrain warranty no longer applies after getting 1 motor and 1 tranny...even if the tranny wasn't new....
