BAD Coil packs

I just wanted to know if anyone knows how to determine which coil pack is bad. I had someone pull the codes on his computer and the 0201 came up 2 times. Now is there an easy way to determine which one is bad cause those things are freakn $75 a pop well regular 90 at dealer but they are givn me a little deal. I would have used the search function but the last few days I havn't been able to use it for some reason.

i dont know the official way or whatever haha... im sure you can check them with voltmeter thing -

but easier, if youknow one is dead, buy a new one and swap each out until it runs properly - it's idling rough i assume?

might be cheaper just to buy a used set of them and use what you need.

Consistency is the key......if one or more than one come back with unusual resistance values, then you can narrow it down better.

Spend $15 on a Haynes manual, as it outlines this and many other diagnostic procedures and will quickly pay for itself.

Typically, only the 0201 code means multiple misfires which means multiple coil packs are toast. Prepare yourself for replacing several of them.

FYI - a bad TPS can cause this code... but the engine will run really eratic.
