How long can it sit?

I've recently moved and walk to work now (saves gas here in CA which is a defintely a good thing at $2.50/gal for premium), and I'm wondering how often I should drive my '95 SE around just to make sure that it stays in good working order. It's currently got about 150k miles on it and I'm also trying to make it last a bit longer by using it less. Is once a month sufficient? Thanks for the advice!

I dont' know about once a month cause i'm sure that it's not good for motor oil to be sitting there unused for so long.

Once a week maybe with proper 5 minute warm up and don't drive short distances.

We are on the same boat!

Yup, I also walk to my workplace, and I use the max only in the weekends (and occasionally for work related travel). I try not to let it sit more than 2 weeks. If need be, I would take a drive for about 50 miles or with 3-5 minute warm up time to make sure everything will work fine.

I have been doing this over 2 years and the Max is still working perfectly. However, I would advice those 50 miles better be highway/stable speed and not a stop-n-go.

Having said all this, I chunk up about 20k miles per year.
