Is my clutch going out or is it something else

While my maxima is in the shop Im driving my 97 S-10 and when I shift into 2nd gear and press on the gas it seems that its pulling hard but im not moving like it should, kind of like its slipping. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

thanks
Brandon

if your RPMs are going up and the speed is somewhat climbing slow your clutch is slipping.

Even if you don't have a tach.. Do you hear reving before it catches and goes into gear? Is it just that particular gear or are all gears like that?

if you press on the gas and the engine revs up and not speeding up, get a new clutch kit, you will need to resurface the flywheel. Dont wait until the last minute as the clutch is ready to leave you stranded any day now. It happened to my sentra.

it only does it in second gear. could my transmission fluid levels be low. I know the clutch is a hydrolic clutch could that level be low?
