New T/O Bearing, Trans Seals, STS, and problems...
I left the shop and the gear shifter is hard as hell to move, even putting it in neutral and wiggling in between, it is stiff as hell, the shifter doesnt even bounce to the middle when you put it in the center.
Anyone else with the STS notice it was harder to shift?
Any comments? Maybe I did something wrong?

was it EXTREME? my fokin arm hurts from shifting, how bad was yours?
how long was the break in?
i had a nissan dlrship do it cause it was wintertime. I thought they broke something because it wouldn't move at all. And I didn't have a **** on there because they had to rip the old one off. So It was bad for like 3 days. Then you will gradually get used to it.
If you didn't lube the hell out of the spacer bolt that holds the shifter rod to the linkage, it'll be pretty stiff. Also, most make the mistake of tightening that too tight--you really only need it to be snuggly tight and have threadlock on the threads. In any case, a few month's breakin is all that is required. Also, a liberal amt of lube on the ball is also good.

more likely than not its hitting your heatshield. i dont have a cat, so i dont have a heatshield, so i dont have any trouble..but my roommate does and its really bad, even with a stiffer return spring it doesnt bounce back to the middle like it should, and shifting is quite a chore even with his set at a longer throw than mine.
