Random Tech Cat..." Is it worth it???.....

Hey fellow Maxima owners:

Is it worth it to get the Random Tech Cat for my 96 Auto Maxima..Got the usual mods...Y-PIPE,....CATBACK...CAI....Thanks

Depends on the price.......

there are plenty of other "hi-flow" cats out there for a lot less than the Random Tech cats, check lamuffler.com and summitracing.com has a Catco cat conv. too, but RT does talk "big" about their gains, according to their Dyno '95 Max with Catback and RT cat dynoed 166 (from a stock(?) 152), 14hp gain!! check it out here: <a href="http://www.randomtechnology.com/max_graph.htm">Random Tech Cat on Maxima</a>, but I'm sure any hi-flow cat could yield the same or nearly the same results, but of course RT charges you the extra for their NAME being on the product!!

One more question:
In the future I will be installing a Stillen Supercharger..Do I get the 2.5" or 3.0" version..Thanks..

I think that the 2.5 would be a good choice

the 3" might have been overkill but I still had a gain from it. Unless you plan on doing a custom 3" exhaust all the way back, I wouldn't go with the 3".
