Hey...Overseas the GS400 does not have the V8 in it, that engine is only available for the U.S. The GS400 in Japan is called the Aristo, and has the same engine as the Supra TT. Those cars are unbelievable due to their potential for upgrading. They can be upgraded just as teh Supras can be. They can make upward of 1000 hp wothout going internally and heavily modifying the block(almost all add-ons and tweaking and tuning). It may be that that is the car he has in europe, and that it's called something else over there. Many of the manufacturers alter the name of a vehicle in europe, but it is still essentially the same car.

Hope this helps...

There's a guy here in Austin that did an engine/tranny swap in a SC 300. He put in the Supra TT and 6-speed. It now makes around 800 RWHP..have some crazy videos of Clint racing his sc300 against vipers and such...that car hauls ***, but primarily roll-ons. All that power will rip the car apart in hard launches off the line..I don't think vehicles with independant rear suspension were meant to handle 1000hp...hmmmm...whoa

Hey Woodear, did you get in on the deal with Mo at Swift racing. He's selling the intake/ECU upgrade for 595.00....or do you already have it?

Cool...my buddy here has it and supposedly it's good for 22hp to the tire and 30 torque to the tire. Waiting to see the difference in a ride.

"don't need that extra hp"

Could you explain that to me. I'm not sure I'm familiar with that phrase. What does it mean?

yeah i know that's what swift-racing claim.
but ala UPRD ECU rule, I only believe in 3rd party dynojet
if your buddy puts it on dyno and sees 22rwhp, i will buy it.

it means it really doesn't mean anything to me if i have few more hp at the wheels or not. on a NA car, turbo/SC/NOS are the real deal, bolt-ons really don't make too much difference.

I heard that with about 2000 bucks in mods, that the supra engines can be made to produce 400+ rwhp...You know I know a guy here who works at the Lexus dealership, and he talks about how stout the GS400 engine is. He thinks it could handle a healthy nos shot...pistons are unbelievable. Could you imagine a twin turbo V8 in the GS400 engine bay.........phew

With the configuration of the V8, would the turbo package have to be a Twin Turbo?
I heard that somewhere...dunno....

Re: Re: Re: Re:

there was a turbocharged GS400 at UPRD's facilities the last time i went.
They had custom rigged twin blowers, if i'm not mistaken, with a custom intercooler behind the front bumper. it was pretty cool, and supposedly, it outputed 400+ hp..
