Anyone see the new road and track? Its got the lexus IS300 as a coupe, convertable and station wagon. They are also going to be offering a 5-speed in it. About time. Can anybody tell me if this is the first time lexus has ever offered a stick shift? It looks like this is going to be good competion for the stick max now.

nah i think SC couple used to have 5sp option.
and i don't think Lexus had stick Maxima as competition in mine when they decided to offer stick in IS300, they are taking on the 3 series and A4.

A 5-speed was an option for the SC300. Maybe one day Lexus will offer a stick for the GS430!

Speaking of the 3 series wagons, a buddy of mine got a new 323it wagon and we drove it up to Killington on a ski trip a couple of weeks ago. Nice car. We get in and I'm complimentng the ride and he's telling me how we can test it out on the ride. As he's saying this we are going around a thruway on ramp and he's pulling it a little. I'm thinking wow, this should be interesting and ready for him to run through the gears off the ramp and eat up some hiway. He promptly sets the cruise @ 68 in a 65 mph zone. Lol. look out. We averaged 63 mph on the ride up and back (from his computer). I've driven up in my 92 corolla in 1 1/4 hours less than the Beamer. WTF?
