#1
sounds like something I may be considering buying
and saying goodbye to my 97 Maxima SE 5sp.
2.0 litre boxer 4 turbocharged and intercooled.
227Hp and 217 lb-ft of torque in a 3000 lb car
with all wheel drive just may do it...The looks
could be better but so what !!!!!!!!!!
What do you guys think...the aftermarket people
will be going nuts on this car !!!!!!!!

This looks like the only thing...
That might be able to beat the new Sentra SE-R V-Spec. But, Car and Driver said they estimate it to cost around $26k.
The Scooby's(that's what they call 'em in the UK) arrival here might spur Misubishi to bring the Lancer Evo here. The thing is, with that awesome front end, you know it ain't US crash-legal.hehe They'll have to make some changes first. I'm thinkin' of an Eclipse replacement with 4 doors.

I talked to the local dealer, and they are expecting delivery in very early spring, but they said to expect a significant dealer mark up do to the demand for the WRX.

With 10,000 units coming in, supply will be plentiful. Thats good and bad. Good for prices (YIPPEEE!), but bad when you see a WRX at every stoplight

Fortunately thats not the case down here in the USA. Subaru is bringing in 20,000 of WRX's (reported to be about a 80/20 or 70/30 sedan/wagon mix) this year alone and is discouraging price gouging. The highest price one will pay is MSRP. There are actually a few dealers out there that are taking orders right now at $400 over invoice! (Invoice is dealer cost.) Apparently, Subaru is supporting this new vehicle launch with a 2% kickback to the dealer with each unit sold. But, that doesnt mean some dealers might not try to whack ya. But, the market will see those dealers selling very few WRXs.
