My New European Maxima, PICs
#1
As requested, here are some photos of my recent purchase. Funny thing, when looking for a new car, I tried the is300 lexus, and many others, and someone told me on this board, "don’t forget the i30", glade I didn’t.
This is a view with the HIDs on, gives the car a cool aggressive look, making the aluminum radiator visible.
Here is a front Quarter shot to see the Maxima likeness, and the side skirts.

More..
Here is a shot of the luminescent gauges. Notice the quick rev to 3k
Here is a shot of the clean rear end styling on the car. This is the exact same thing as the Maxima in Europe except a Nissan badge and the words MAXIMA Now, any recommendations on what to do with this exhaust? Its hard, as the car doesn’t have a bumper cut out?

Hey looks great!!
To bad no 5spd available because it would have been my next car {in a few years},Maxima 5spd transplant would be a option hmmm.More I30 owners the better! hehe. What type of mods do you have planed "cough SC cough".

Yes, very true, however this trany shifts like a **** all the way to redline and very hard under WOT for some reason, and the 5spd becomes a hassle during traffic, business trips and dates
Firsting I'm going to do is make the exhaust look better, any suggestions as the car has no bumper cut our for the pipes?
Then I’m going to lower it a little to set it on its 17” touring wheels
The only mod on it now is a K&N filfer for an honest, and Apparently underrate 230HP! SC is on the wish list. Then I will rebadge it to I300T
Any other comments/suggestions are welcome.

Hey Tex
how do u like the car so far. I've had my 2001 I30t since October and i love it. Reminds me of my 98 se. Your blue looks nice, i thought of that but then i went ahead with a black. what color interior do you have? oh yea let me know if you get any ideas for your car. Right now mines bone stock.
thanks

ps do you think theres anyway to clear out the turn signal by takin out the headlight. and also you think its possible to rewire the corner lamps that come on when you turn on the turn signal to be on all the time?
thanks

No ideas yet other then spring, transplanting my rear sway bar, and a FSTB. Its very quick with just the K&N, and I'm loving it. Raced a 96 GLE like mine, and won by 4 plus car lengths from the line and going, and for a stock carI also beat a 96 GT Auto.
The color is great, because its looks black at times, and blue in the sun. The interior is charcol gray.

Nice I30t. I don't get why you say it is a Maxima. Well, it really is, but why call it a Maxima? It's like someone buying a Lexus ES300 and saying, "Look at my nice Camry." Or buying an Audi A4 and saying "Check out my fancy Jetta." Does calling it European make it more "sporty"? Or more stylish?
BTW, I dunno if someone posted this already in this thread, but it's only called Maxima in US and Canada. Elsewhere in the world, their Maxima (which looks like your I30) is called the Nissan QX 2.0 or 3.0. Well, it used to have a 2.0L V6 as an option. Or was it a 2.5L V6. Oh well something like that. I dunno if the 5th gen QX has the small V6 anymore.

Its called Maxima in Germany. I only used the word Maxima, because this is a Maxima BBS, and because its the same style as the Maxima sold elses where. Also to get you to look Did you see the pics of the Euro Maxima?
