Buying Mods-Is Your Car More Show Or Go?

When you mod your car do you buy.....

more show - eye candy, rims, body kit, stereo, TV’s, trying to upgrade any and everything you can to make your car look better or sound better to turn heads or snap necks or win at car shows, or to impress the ladies(or men if you are a woman) etc.

Or

Go - Nitrous, Supercharger, Turbo, Exhaust, Handling, Springs, Strut Bars, ECU’s, plugs, trying to upgrade any and everything you can to make you car faster or handle better etc.

What percentage would you say your car is

10% Go and 90% Show?

10% Show and 90% Go?

Or 50% Show and %50 Go

or

whatever percentage you think your car is......

There have probably been more tickets on the .org for appearance mods than speed mods.

maybe so, but usally "fix it tickets" are jokes, and speeding tickets arent that easy to get rid of.

Just because you're car is fast, doesn't mean you have to use it on the street. Save it for the track. I haven't gotten a ticket since owning this car.

I'm ALL show, NO go. Everything I've done is for looks and comfort. The Maxima is fast enough for me. I dont race or go to the track, so a SC, turbo, etc. is not something I would consider. I still have the stock air intake, I must be the only one, lol.

Go......

Only reason I use 300ZX wheels is to clear the calipers....plus they are 4 lbs lighter than stock 98SE wheels.

More show and comfort. Spending money on mods that I can USE on the streets is better than spending money on things that can ONLY be used at the track or else you get a ticket :-)

50% show, 50% go.

But couldn't you make an argument that 17x7 tires provide better handling than 15x6 tires? And couldn't you make another argument that lowering the car increases appearance along with handling?

Tint and UK corners are the only go mods. I'm still slow tho, no power mods, all suspension.
