205/65 stock vs 215/60 tires
I have a question regarding the performance of a tire size. Has anyone put on 215/60 15" tires on their car to replace the stock 205/65 15's? I know that the 215 would be a bit wider and the profile is marginally lower--but would there be any noticable difference? I couldn't find any 215/60 15" tires on tirerack for the Dunlop sp5000's. I do notice the stock 205/65 tires are a bit "floatly" on tight cornering. I did want to get slightly better cornering without sacraficing the ride.
thanks =)
thanks =)
Yeah I did that with my old stock 15" wheels.
215/60/15 fits perfectly (in fact it's stock size for the older SE's).
I recommend Bridgestone RE930's, if you are getting that size. I had them, and they are excellent. I can almost guarantee you will love em if you get them. Great dry traction, and very good wet traction.
I have the Dunlop SP5000's now, and even though they are Z-rated vs H-rated for the RE930's, I think the RE930's were better tires.
