Bye bye 96 Maxima Hello 2004 WRX (blue) pics inside

Ok guys it has been a fun 3+ years on maxima.org but I must move on. I just sold my 96 Maxima SE and picked up a brand new 2004 WRX. I never used to like them but when I drove one I fell in love with it and the car just grew on me. They changed the front and rear end and got rid of those bug eye headlights and the rear lights looks more Euro. I picked up the car for just about 26k out the door which includes tax, title, reg, and financing charges (car is also fully loaded). I believe that the WRX is the best car for the $$ out there in the 22-27k price range. I learned alot about maxima's and met alot of nice people off maxima.org but I must go to www.nasioc.com now. The car is so much fun to drive and handles like a dream. I just ordered, springs, STS, bushings, and ****, turbo timer, BOV and boost controler. I put down 10k from selling my max plus savings and that made my payments $290 a month which isnt bad at all. I also got a interest rate of 3% on the bank loan for the car which is another plus.

Anyways its been fun and I may pop in and post every once and a while but for now I bid you all farewell and goodluck with everything. I took some pics of my new car if anyone wants to check out the new 2004 model.

Good buy man the new WRX is the sweetest yet. The front looks like a VERY aggressive SE-R sentra, very nice. Have fun and stop by.

Sweet car. I plan on getting a white 2004 WRX soon. I don't want any options except the armrest extension. No spoiler for me.

The huge fogs are on the STi version. Subaru would never give up the huge fogs.

Was the interest rate a Subaru incentive? 3% for 60 months is low. What would they give you if you wanted the standard 36 months? 10 grand for a 96 Max is sweet, I'd only expect 8 for my 98 with all-options!

hey they changed the headlights and foglights in both the STI and reg WRX. The reason I didnt get the STI is cause its 35 grand and also the VIP program I am in excluded special pricing on the STI. Sweet car but just a little too rich for my blood.

btw - Frank Fontaine I got 5600$ for my 96 max and saved another 4 grand in order to put down the 10k on my WRX.

Great choice, you are right about the best bang for the buck in that price range, can't beat the modding potential of factory forced induction and all wheel drive.

You can also go here to join an online community like the org

http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/

Best of luck and enjoy the new ride!!!

Saab

For those still thinking about an '04 WRX, supposedly Saab has commissioned Subaru to build them a model that will be the 9-2 (maybe even 9-1) to be based off the Impreza and an Aero version to be based of the WRX. That would be a great combo: Subaru performance with Saab good looks. If the 9-3 Aero is any indication, this upcoming car will look real good! Prices are est. at $21-27k and they are thinking next spring...

Wow a new body style as well as an STI package, and a lucrative deal with Saab all in the same year, sounds like the guy's over @ subrau are staying buisy.

By the way only race neons off the line (you'll destroy them) and not on the highway.

Hey Jay,

I see you said something about the VIP club. Is it a guarenteed thing to get the car at invoice when you're a apart of this program?

SO, what are your planned mods? I'm going to do:

Cobb ECU (no manual boost controllers for me, thank you)
Gutted up-pipe
Catback
stock intake modification
boost gauge
higher flowing intercooler pipes
springs
better tires for the 16s

awesome car, once you get some more mods done to it, post up a thread, i would love to see your progress and im sure other would as well. your maxima was one of the best around here.

i want a wrx, but i cant afford the 04' so hopefully by next summer, between the face lift on the 04' and the STI, the 02' is supposed to drop in resale value, so in a little more than a year i hope i can pick up a low miled 02' wrx for under 13k.

good luck with the car

WOW, in our "Bay Area"...tampa that is, they sticker for 35K...

RIPOFF...ill spend 35K on a Volvo S60R...Never on a mitsu. Give that turbo 4G63 motor a few years....
