When I first start my car in the morning (it's cold in Toronto) the tach does not work at all (registers zero). After driving it for a minute it will be eratic (going up to the rpm I am actually driving then back to zero randomly). Then after about 10 minutes it works perfectly and keeps working perfectly.

What I figure is that the connector to connect the tach is just a little bit loose. When it is cold it does not make contact, but as it starts to warm up the metal expands and makes contact.

Does this sound right and if so can I remove my dash and connect it firmly by myself?

Thanks for the help.

What's up

That sound's about right, I feel your cold I live in London Ontario. I don't know how to remove the dash or how to get to the tach. But I am sure the people here will help you out.
