Tweed is the material he used. It comes in tan and black that I know of. He used some type of foam and then tweed over the top of it to make the flames.

Indeed. Tweed and flames? Tweed is what nerdy college professors wear. Oh well, it's an order of magnitude better than **** carpeting.

they have more colors than just tan and black. just do a search or go look at some mini-trucks and you'll see some crazy interiors done in nothing but tweed.

flames + tweed=very tight.

Thanks guys. Tweed comes in any color. It also comes in 2 colors that are woven together(so it looks like a cheacker board). I used 1/4 inch foam for the flames. those I free cut buy hand.

how much does that stuff typically cost?
per sq yard or foot?

I'm really swaying to redoing my headliner in that stuff..
also, is it thick or heavy?

NYCE MAXIMA, Tweed is thin and easy to work with, some spots you have to streach.
It is about $12 a yard.
