Exedy Stage 1, thoughts after a weekend of driving

Damn my car is easy to stall now! I stalled it 5 or 6 times over the weekend, trying to get used to the way this clutch grabs. After about 150 miles of driving this weekend, it's gotten a little better, but it's still pretty touchy. I do love the way the pedal feels. One big disapointment with the Centerforce DF I had was the clutch was softer than with the OEM that was on the car to begin with. The feel on the Exedy is much stiffer, something that I like. I have noticed it's been a little more dificult to shift right, since I have to relearn the new clutch feel.
Overall, all that got in on the GD from MaxxTuning are some pretty lucky folks. This is a sweet clutch for a SWEET deal, and especially for the price, blows away the competition........

Yeah it is defenitly nice. I have about 550 miles on it and I am used to it now. I noticed my clutch pedal feels softer than my 155,000 mile OEM clutch.

Well PJ from MAXX Tuning said it can hold 350 lbs of torque. So I would say you should not have a problem with boost. No chatter either

I am waiting for the final batch to get shipped out... then when I finally get it I will have to go ahead and get my tranny fixed. While I'm waiting, I think I should get some redline MT-90 oil.

I put AMSOIL series 2000 in mine it shifts pretty good. Plus you can get a discount from IWANNABMW, just something to think about.

hmm not to sure because I had the tranny rebuilt, new master and slave cylinder and the clutch installed oh and a new transaxel my total was $2,100. I imagine for a clutch install with resurfacing the fly wheel should run you about $500.00

Wow! Where do you guys live? Only 500 for a swap? The DC area must be more expensive.

But i have to wasit cause i am waiting for some other stuff to come in like my fidenza flywheel, budget Y-pipe, and my definitive UDP(i have the RVM but am not going to install it cause of all the problems). I already have my pacesetter short-shifter and exedy clutch here waiting to be installed. Can't wait but its going to be hard to keep from going WOT with all this stuff
