Well, Got a hold of a SC setup....
Recently, I purchased a whole Stillen SC setup from a buddy of mine. Before I had purchased it, I looked over it thoroughly and noticed one little thing. The tensioner pulley on the SC bracket was broken. The pulley itself wasn't the problem, but the whole shaft that the pulley mounted to was missing. Well, thinking it through brought me to an idea. We mounted the whole kit on his car, the SC, FMU, oil line, everything. We then took a piece of string and pulled it taught through all the pulleys on the engine and through the SC pulley. We marked the length of the string and went to a local NAPA store. We told them the length and they came back out with the PERFECT belt for the job. We then took the SC off and mounted the belt on the engine/SC and installed everything back on. We then used the stock engine tensioner pulley to make the belt the correct tension. We installed a temporary boost gauge right on the FPR vacuum line and turned the car on. To our total amazement, it worked perfectly. We got a full 4-5 psi with the stock SC pulley. After we had proven it worked, we took everything back off and I bought the kit.
Well, knowing that it works and that I am also going turbo in the very near future, I will be selling it. So, I just wanted to let you guys know.
BTW, I haven't talked to STILLEN about the whole broken bracket deal, but I am sure that if I did and I sent them the broken bracket, that they may consider selling me a good bracket.

Well, I may just slap that puta on eBay since that seems to be the easiest way. I have dealt with a TON of people in the past with offers and all that good stuff, which really didn't go too well. But, I will DEFINITELY let you guys know when I do. More than likely it will start out tomorrow evening. I will post here with a link to the auction when I start it. Sound good guys?

Erik I was able to see the pics... but not a good enough pic of the plate. What do you mean by bracket? The tensioner assembly? or the idler pulley that sits at the front lower corner of the plate? I am really curious now
Here is a front on pic of the Idler Pulley on the plate... V1 style. No aluminum.

Erik does your bracket not have that front pulley? made of aluminum? The reason for that being there is to give more "wrap" to the belt. It may work, and net 5 PSI or so, but it will more likely than not cause problems down the road. That pulley is there for a reason. Especially if the eventual owner wants to do pulley upgrades.
The V2 bracket is very similiar in terms of that particular pulley. The bracket is very similiar in alot of respects. The major difference is the design to accomodate the OEM thermostat housing.

Now, when we installed everything, there was a ton of clearence in between the belt and any other obstacle. I only think that the main reason that the idler pulley was placed on the SC bracket was to give more adjustability to tighten the belt as a whole, instead of just using the stock tensioner pulley. I am going to contact Stealin tomorrow and see what they say about this whole ordeal.....
