I have a 99Se and after looking under the hood at the intake I noticed that the Maxima has a pretty darn good original intake, except for the lower pipe that leads to a box that has no air coming into it. What is this box? a resanator? IF so will I get a slightly better sound without it? It looks like I could very easily run a pipe to some fresh air under the car and help the intake with a better air charge?
