You want a legal CB or other?

You need that and a huge antenna and then your all set. Why do you want one by the way?

I've got one, and you can take off the flexy antenna and hook it up to a big one that sticks on top of your car. It's the best.

I just bought a cobra handheld for the max.
I also just found my old CB from our familys old 80's Chevy C1500 pickup (with camper). My sister wants me to install a PA on her car, I think I just found a use for the old CB

btw, for cars, flexable antennas are good, and you can even bend the mount that comes with it to hug a side window, so you can take it off when your not using it.

If you want maximum performance you will want a trunk mount rather than a magnet mount antenna. The trunk mount will require you to chip off some of the paint under the trunk so the mounting screws can get a good ground. Do yourself a favor and get a 1/4 wave antenna. K40 and Wilson make good base loaded antennas. A full wave length whip is almost 9 feet high for 27mhz (CB frequency) that would work the best. You'd look pretty stupid though. If you're just using the CB to listen, anything is fine. If you have a nice rig that you want to protect, you want to get a SWR meter to make sure your antenna is tuned right. Otherwise bye bye transmitter section of radio. What are you going to use this CB for? I'd recommend getting a scanner or using FRS radios if you want to talk between cars.
