has anybody's heated seat switch light burned out?

On my driver's side, the orange lamp does not turn on. The passenger side does. But I am almost positive the seat is still heating up. After a while it's hard to tell because I think the thermostat turns off the seat heater.

I don't think there's any correlation between the orange lamp and whether the heater is on or off--it turns orange in 2 of the 3 switch positions. Anybody's burn out? It doesn't seem logical to replace the switch, seems like the whole center console has to come out. On my Volvo the switch slid out for replacement or access.

My driver side switch light burnt out too, but I'm pretty sure the seat would still heat up. You can use a small screwdriver and pop the switch out, they're expensive to replace.

My last car (98 I30) had the same problem, the heated seat switch burned out. I was told the bulb was a real PITA to replace so typicaly the switch just get's replaced. I think the switch is cheap.

The heated seat switches just pop into place. If you need to get to them from underneath you can just pull the cupholders out (97-99). If I remember right they have little plastic tabs that can be squeezed in to make them easier to remove.

If anyone does replace there heated seat switch (or finds a good price on them) I want the old one - WTB - Heated Seat Switch, Drivers side - Broken OK.
