Im interested in getting a 4th gen. maxima but I'm no too familiar with the different trims. Can someone please tell me what is the difference between them? And if possible tell me which years/trims come in manual trans? This will really make my choices easier. Thanx

 

Manual trans only comes in SE & GXE.. GLE is the fully loaded top of the line package and comes in auto.. GXE is the base low model. And SE is the sports trim model. Both these trims can come in manual. With the GXE's you'll usually get 15" rims and SE has 16's for the 4thgens..

SE has a sportier suspension and more likely comes with the bose sound system, moonroof pwr seats and leather

SE - fogs, spoiler, white gauges, 16in wheels on the 97- 99s,auto or 5spd is available, all options are optional but hard to find a fully loaded one. body colored handles and grill.
GXE - base trim, 15in hubcaps, barly A/C, chrome handles and grill
GLE - Fully loaded, bose, leather, woodgrain, 15in sawblades or honeycombs, auto, chrome handles and grill
