So the days of the Keypad are over?
On my and a lot of other 3rd gens, we have the KEYLESS KEYPAD entrance....but nowadays is it ONLY remote enty? Did any 1st and 2nd gens have them?
lol
I had that on my 2000 Ford Excursion, it was so nice! It wise nice knowing that you would never be locked out of your car (unless your battery died
) Sometimes you don't want to carry your keys, so you bury them in the center console and lock the doors. Very nice feature.

my mom's jeep has that and I'd love it on my car... she literally has not taken the keys out of her ignition since the day she bought the car.

You could open the trunk, fuel door cover, open windows...etc on my dad's Lincoln Towncar with the keypad. It was pretty dang cool...

What I find more interesting
Is the fact car makes are not putting door lock (key cylinders) in the right front passenger door on a 4dr car or SUV. Can someone explain that? What happen to those days when you unlock the doors for that girl (or guy, what ever your preference is
) on your first date, I guess now a days you just hit the button and all the doors unlock.
