coolant and tranny service

can you guys tell me where the bolt would be on the engine block to drain coolant, and where the bleeder bolt is, i was searchign thru hayens online, and it doesnt tell u nor give good pics. also how many quarts does the tranny take after draining, i was guessing 4 but i bought a case of 10 so i might do a flush

you drain it through the radiator and the bolt is a palstic screw plug under it.

i know that but there is another bolt on the engine block, i already knwo the raditor plug, if u take the on of the engine it draing more coolant but ok where is the bleeder valvve

You're right. Look at motorvate.ca Coolant Removal & Replacement page. It cautions that the plugs are really hard to access.

There bleeder valve is on the top of the inlet coolant piping at the top of the engine.

The bolts to drain the coolant from the engine are in the front and the back behind the exhaust headers. They are REALLY difficult to get to and a PITA to remove.

When I flushed my coolant I just forced the water through with a spray nozzle on a garden hose and let it drain out the radiator return hose. The radiator I just drained and filled with water, then drained and filled with water.

I also did the drain and fill with the engine running for a few minutes to warm up about 5 or 6 times. It takes a while, but it's far easier than removing those bolts to drain the engine block.

I did it the same way as you (outlined in the link above).
