Need opinions on re-ground cams.

Ok, I might be purchasing a set of stock cams for a relatively good price and I was thinking about taking/sending them somewhere to be re-ground. What are the pros and cons of having a set of reground cams?
As soon as the search is turned back on I'll be doing some more research on this but anyone that can already do a search for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Just make sure that the base circle of the cams isn't changed. The lifters can't compensate for it.
You may be better off getting some Tomei's or JWT's along with lightweight spring retainers and higher rate springs.
Be prepared for a lot of work, or pay a lot of money.
