To the tranny pros out there!

Has anyone here done a swap from a non-VLSD to a VLSD auto tranny? Just curious to hear from the 4th and 5th gens alike - I might be picking up a non-VLSD built up for my needs, but my 2000 SE came with VLSD as a standard option : I want to make sure it can be done the other way without needing excess work (ie. drive axles, etc).

Anyone who can tell me based on their knowledge of it being plug-and-pray... please let me know

Thanks!

Yes I am 75% sure the non-VLSD and VLSD uses different axles, as well as non-ABS and ABS.

Don never replied to my mails when I wanted my VB, so I won't count on him for this one

The thing about the Kev and matthel : they were doing auto->5spd conversions.. there's a huge difference there so it's not surprising that they needed drive axles... in this case, it may just be in the transmission.. who knows.
