yet another intake sound question

Is this sound normal? At low RPM's, like below 2,000, my intake, or what I think is my intake makes a weird sound, kind of a nasty sound. Dont know how to describe it. The sound is deep, but all choppy and irregular and then as RPMs increase it smooths out to its normal deep growl. AM I just sounding like an idiot here? A leak in my y-pipe wouldnt sound like that would it?

Does it sound like.. "burrrrrrrrr burrrr"? If it doesn, it could be your y-pipe banging the body of your car or a noisy flex section.

no, I am positive it is coming from the engine bay, most definetely the intake. it sounds like it's trying to get air but is struggling and then once I reach a certain RPM it gets all the air it needs.
