What did the cat start to do or what did it sound like when it broke or started to give you problems?

1st - I'm not at RT Cat hater. My mixture may have forced it's failure. Only sign was higher Hydrocarbon emissions levels.

 

your hear a rattle at certain RPMs..


then it rattles all the time...

 

At what RPM did you hear yours?

Mine start to rattle at 3K.

Yep, that's me too.

 

Rip the extra heat shield off and that will get rid of the rattle.

 

mine started to rattle at around 2,000 first, then 2-3,000 then all the time. especially ugly when downshifting, as in when approaching a stop sign. and it wasn't just the heatshield... my little honeycomb section was broken into little pieces. I think there's still a few in my b-pipe/muffler...
