Problem: Fuel Injector!

Hi Everyone!

Someone told me my car's fuel injector could be the problem to my bad gas mileage. Now my question is, which type/brand of fuel injector work best for a 1996 Maxima with 111,500 miles? I know there's alot of brands of fuel injector oil, but I don't know which one works the best.

My other question. What is a PCV? How can I go about testing the PCV if it's bad or not?

P.s.: My car is going 14 miles per gallon of gas.

it could be the problem but i wouldnt just start replacing things espically injectors. are the plugs, fuel filter and air filter in good condition? i would start with those if they have not been replaced since they are typically the culprit and cost less. for the injectors, if you want to replace them-bosch will do fine. you should be able to pick them up at any auto store or nissan if you want to pay a little more. pvc-positive crankcase ventilation. its a little elbow piece on the bottom side near your throttle body. i would just replace it since its only about 6 bucks when you do the rest. i would also clean the throttle body while you have it off. if you need any direction, i would look at purchasing a haynes or chilton manual as they can walk you through many repairs of this kind.
