1/4 mile
mid 15s for auto (most between 15.4-16.4)
low 15s for man (most between 14.7-15.7)

years don't matter much, newer maxs have more HP but more weight

0-60 are about 6.7 manual and 7 auto

I thought the autos from 95-01 were more like mid to high 7's to 60.

Hmm, even tho id REALLY prefer a 5 speed, if the auto is slower by that small of an incrament...and i cant find a 5 spd... i can just get a intake or something

I'm used to DOHC Neons, hehe, 0-60 on the auto is like 10 seconds and 1/4 is like mid 17+ whereas the stick is 0-60 in 7 and 1/4 mile in 15s

i've beaten a 5-speed that had just an intake.
i had intake exhaust y-pipe and better driving skills. i walked him from a roll. the 5 speeds that i've driven really don't feel THAT much faster than my auto..... just a little

No way dude, don't go there ...hold out for a 5 spd...I live around Birmingham, Alabama and I had to fly to Tampa, Florida to buy a 5spd (so I understand the scarceness of them!); but I just don't understand why people would buy an autotragic unless they just couldn't drive a 5spd. I have had over 30 cars and all of them (with the exception of my 99 Dodge Ram Quad-cab) have been manuals! Driving an auto is boring...(oh well, that is my .02)

i wanted a 5 speed too. but all the 5 speeds that i drove felt very fragile, were overpriced, and had too many miles. now i have an auto.

I agree... the Max is my fifth car and they have all been manuals but one. It's so easy to fall asleep at the wheel in an auto, haha. But yeah, 5 spd's are rare... I had to drive 10 minutes, all the way downtown to get one!

My auto was able to hit 0-60 in 7.1 secs when it was stock. The car is definitely quick for an auto.

Don't believe the hype that autos can't be 5 speeds. Veterans here have seen it happen at the track and on the highway.

Some people just don't have the patience to wait for one to show up in their area, I too live in Birmingham and found one not 10 mins away from my house, that and there usually is at least one in the paper each week.

You are correct, some people don't have the patience of Job, but when you know what you want...go after it!
