Apparantly the EVO is a complete dawg below 3000rpms. It's been compared to base model Civc in terms of power below 3000rpms. The ride is also be critized for being very rough, harsh, and bouncy.

I will be getting an STI after the Max is paid off in a couple years. It did run a 13.8 stock per this months Sport Compact Car. I like the WRX more than the EVO because their is power over the entire power band. I wouldn't like reving the engine to get power.

You do know that 2 liters have alot more power capacity right? Nothing like generic statements to start the day. You want to know how much power 2 liter Ford Cosworth engines are making? How about the evo VIII? Ah, this car doesn't handle similar to a fwd.
