Wheel lock question.

Wheel lock question.

Can somene define these terms to me: Spline Drive lugs, Tuner lugs?
And which brand is best for the price Mcgard, Gorilla, Nissan Dealer.

I really like my McGard ones, I have 2 pairs. They look to be EXTREMELY hard to get off for someone trying to steal rims.

Spline drive is the teeth or drive splines are actually on the outside of the lug nut. It's a unique tuner style lug nut. Tuner style basically are the narrow lug nuts and most are driven with an alen wrench type key on the center of the lug nut.

I have the McGard spline drive lug nuts. They are nice because they grab more of the stud holding the wheel better. They are more expensive though....

I believe McGard make the Nissan ones.

IMO, i think the tuner lugs are better, because the other types can be opened up with a gator grip

experience

i lost my lock lug and went crazy trying to get my rim off/ i went to a shop and they took it off with a gator wrench looking thing in 2 seconds!
