HELP! car wont start
help help my car wont start, it cranks but wont start, kinda like when you use a key with out the chip in it. only thing i can think of is its my alarm fuel cut off, b/c i had the fuse box open and forgot to close it so my hood didnt close all the way and i tried to start it, with the hood up alittle, is the hood tied into the alarm? also is there any way i could pull codes off a 5th gen with out going to a dealer, like the 4th gens?
any help or ideas would be great

Yeah, this sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Can you here the fuel pump come on when you first turn the key to or past the ACC position? I know the alarm for the fourth gen is tied into the hood. If it is not the alarm, then it might be a bad fuel pump. As far as ECU codes that might be in the FAQ's in the 5th gen forums.

Yeah, you should be able to hear with the radio off inside the cabin of the car. It sounds like a soft click sound. You shouldn't have to take the seat out or anything.

Do you have a RVM underdrive pulley? If you do I would do some searching. First thing I would do would be to put the stock pulley back on and see what happens. It is probably your crank position sensor. Good Luck, let us know what it was.
