Correct me if I'm wrong, if his stock hood struts are not worn (2k+ max), it might be a bit tough for him to push down the cf hood.

On my 2k1 I didn;t use the stock hood struts. Their too strong and if you push down on the hood you'll end up breaking it.. Just use a pole like I do

The hoods are in ..close to 8pm Fri nite.
Gimme a call. Call around junkyards to find old set of stock struts (less pressure in them) for less than $20/set.

i would honestly juse use a poll. Get hood struts too weak, they may fall without notice or whatever. A nice polished poll would compliment your car and those hood struts may weigh a ton, the objective is to lessen the weight on your car...do without them

just be careful if you re-use the oem struts as the cf hood is lighter and once you pop it the hood will probably fly up. This happened with my SE trunk lid when i took the spoiler off, less weight. Its fun to pop the trunk on my parts car and see the lid fly up..

Wow you posted this up fast. I guess I was the first 5th gen. Hood looks really good. The install by Ange's shop was very professional. Thanks Ange.
