Yeah, that's not impossible or anything. It'd only be about a 3 year, 100% custom, might-as-well-sell-the-car-and-buy-a-used-lamborghini type project.

Ok... my bad. I apologize. I should have done some research; I figured you would have to custom fab the doors to do the scissor style without interference with the body. Sorry!

Just one question. Why would you do this to a 4-door? Wouldn't it look kinda retarded unless you did it to all four?

you'll be crying if you get side swept, or any "injury" to the doors... but good luck to the people that are doing this.. i think it attracts too much attention.
If i had four heads in my car and we're about to stop by at a diner, damn,, all four doors will be going UP. That's ain't me. i agree with bonzelite.
Save your money and get something else.

Well, it's a neat idea, but I don't think the Maxima is the right platform for it. Suicide doors, on the other hand, migh be OK...

You'd have to use articulated hinges, unless you plan on massively altering the frame and doors...

you can't do the rears.. not even in reverse. i was going to be a guinea pig for decah (the originator of the kits) for our car, but i backed out and so did they when we found out the rear doors are worthless and can't have much done due to location of brackets and the way the doors would open.

best of luck.

They should do this to everyone's car!! I got my 96 in just perfect condition with absolutly no flaws and 40,000 miles about two years ago. Now I have at least two door dings on each side

They need to do this mod for every dumb @$$ who doesn't pay attention when they open their door!!

hey, if you can't afford a lambo, why not just pretend you've got one and get the doors done....besides those style doors look hot on a 300zx, or a toyota supra

STOP MESSING WITH THE MAXIMA'S DOORS!! FEEL LUCKY THAT THE DOORS OPEN SO THAT YOU GET TO DRIVE A MAX. Buy a lambo or DMC (Delorean) if you want doors like that. or buy a honda.

maybe try modding a toaster with those lambo doors. far more practical and you can't beat the potential looks.

I have a solution for the rear doors... weld them shut and shave/fill em. I dont really know what to do about the windows though, as they'll look strange. Hmm, anyone wanna do a photochop of a 2dr max?
