civic Si in Cali wants a race... anyone?
This guy keeps saying his STOCK Civic Si can take a stock 2k/2k1 maxima. I explained he's wrong but he insists on posting bogus "races" as "proof" that he's faster... for example, one involves a 2k with a slipping clutch and another is against a 40 year old woman trying to merge, not really 'racing' him.
If you own a 2k/2k1 maxima and really want to get ****ed, read this thread:
http://ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=17000
Teaser quote:
"A 2002 Maxima (auto) or (stick) would woop *** on an Si all day (but) I can hang with if not walk a 2000 Maxima."
Another teaser:
"digging through some old car mags (had a) 2k Nissan Maxima SE (auto) (running) 15.9/88.0" and "I would assume their (magazine) assessment is largely more accurate than that of yours."
Anyway, I live in NH and he lives in Fair Oaks, California, so I can't do this myself. Is there someone out that way with a stock 2k/2k1 maxima who can meet this guy at a track (or a light )? Please let me know... I'll even paypal you a few bucks for the gas you're about to waste.
Mods, if you want to move this to the Cali region, feel free.

I've only ever talked about 5-speed, and always completely stock.
My argument was 5-speeds are regularly below 15s and his car has NEVER gone below 15.5s (best time I've read STOCK is 15.6) in the 1/4m.

Idiot ricer.
I've taken out two GS-R's in my 99SE 5spd. And that was on the highway where they are stronger and I am weaker. I would not expect to have any problems whatsoever taking out an Si old or new.
Just look at best stock 1/4 mile times...
Any 95-01 5spd Maxima can get high-14's to low-15's stock.
What can a Civic Si do? Mid-15's at best? With insane driving?
