I hate to ask but....

i am thinking of selling my car. It has the following

1995 Se auto
-68800 miles
-y-pipe
-exhaust
-cat
-cai
-17's w/ 75 % tread left
-bose
new brakes(xd and slotted rotors w/ new pads)
-sunroof
-strut bar
and other mods like wires lights and things, check my homepage for more

I was wondering whether to get rid of the mods and sell them sepratly or just sell the car w/ mods and add it to the total price. if so how much % should i take off for the original cost. also what would i be looking at getting total for this car?

Part it out, you'll make more $

I think you could sell it stock for $5500 or $6k

You wont get THAT much more selling it w/ the mods.

It depends on whether or not another grand or so is worth it to you to spend all that extra time turning it back to stock.

I'd get the car as close to original as possible. Do you have all of the parts? The original y-pipe? The original intake plumbing?

Unless you're confident you can amp up the price based on the speed of the car, I'd go back to stock. Most people look at mods in a negative way. The last thing I want to do is buy a car off of someone who has driven it hard. Unfortunately, when people see modifications, they think just that: the car's been abused.

Put the car back to stock. Many non enthusiasts (perhaps the majority of used 4 door car shoppers) do not like modified cars, because they think they have been beat on.

i was in your place a few months ago. i parted out most of the stuff, made some money back, and sold the car for more than i hoped to. everybody is right, most people dont like mods, especially power mods. my tip: wash your car before every sale, it really helped me.
