a/c power loss w/ udp?

a/c power loss w/ udp?
in addition to freeing up more power all the time, will an underdrive pulley reduce the amount of power the air conditioning takes away when you turn it on? i hate that feeling when the compressor comes on and the car hesitates then doesn't really recover. blech.
