installing a walbro on a 5th gen

installing a walbro on a 5th gen

i have the gss342 but it seems to be too long for me to install it into the stock housing....
anyone with detailed instructions on how to install the pump???

The fuel pump goes straight through your fuel filter. You get to it underneath the back seat. Be careful, do it when your tank is somewhat low, and be away from any sources of a spark. : Soon as I get my fuel filter from Dave B I'll be doing a write-up on how to change the fuel filter with pictures...

i tried installing it a few days ago.... but the walbro is too long compared to the stock pump and i couldnt fit it into the housing....
what do you mean by it goes straight through the fuel filter?

The pump goes straight through the fuel filter... I really don't know how else to say it

what do you mean by straight through the filter????
the white housing that wraps around the pump??
am i supposed to make a hole in the housing so that the pump will fit right through it???

The housing around it is the fuel filter, and the pump should just go right through it...
