I have owned my '96 SE 5-spd for 18 days now. 2 nights ago I got in an accident. I rear ended a guy while not paying attention. I have to call my insurance in the morning to see what is gonna happen but I'm sure that they will just raise my rates after having to fix his car and mine. It just sucks that I have been waiting for almost 2 years to be able to get this car. It took me 2 months to find it. And I wreck it after 16 days of owning it.

All in all it isn't that bad. I just hit the front drivers side corner. They will have to replaces the bumper the side panel and probably the hood. Also the 4 of the lights on that side. It is still drivable so no big deal except for the ticket for following too closely and my insurance going up. Hopefully it gets fixed fast.

You can be sure of this. Next time it happens I won't be driving for a while. So I guess this is just kind of a reminder for everyone to make absolutely sure you are sure before you make a turn.

this happened with a friend of mine. she was at a stop light with the car in front of her turning. the intersecting street was busy so she was going to try and get in as soon as she could, so with the guy in front of her she looked until SHE saw an opening, assuming the guy would turn. However he didn't and she ended up tapping his bumper. but then again she is extremely accident prone. went thru 3 cars (old nissan sentra, 96 plymouth breeze (boyfriend changed oil and forgot to put the plug back in because engine ended up seizing) and now a new civic (which said boyfirend backed into a large rock...) in teh year span that i've known her and many speeding tickets.
