ACT clutch engagement question

I've had my ACT for a year now, 15,000miles, broken in easily, and "spirited" driving usually.

My clutch hose that attaches to the slave cyl was leaking, so I had that replaced by my mechanic. I took it for a test drive and it wouldn't shift into 1st, 2nd, or R easily. Also, the clutch pedal didn't have any resistance till 1/2 way down...and when I'm all the way down, I lift up 1cm and I'm starting to catch/engage the gear.

We bled the system but nothing changed. It was never like this before...before, I would feel resistance immediately when pressing down, and it would engage 1/2 way up.

So uh...how are the rest of u ACT owners in terms of resistance and catch points?

you've still got an air bubble in the line it sounds like.

use a pressure or vacuum bleeding system on the line and you should get it out. it's a PIA to bleed the clutch properly on these cars.

there's a thread from a couple days ago about the same thing.

I bled the lines (7x @ cyl, 5x @ upper pipe...1 man bleeder, bled from full to near low in reservoir). There was a huge bubble in the lower cyl. The pedal feel is better, but I won't know till I drive. Thanx Matt.

How do I know if my Slave Cyl is busted?
