Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and voiding warranties

Recently, my aftermarket (not dealer) warranty was voided because I have a JWT popcharger and R/T cat.

My parts to be replaced are the knock sensor, FPR, injectors, and ECU.

I have found the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. It
provides rules for ANY written warranty on any
consumer product over $10.
I have located a document for my air intake from K
and N. http://www.knfilters.com/warrantyletter.htm
I am seeking out this same data for my R/T cat converter
from Random Technologies. These documents guarentee
that warranty cannot be void by adding this product.

Here is some info: While the Magnuson-Moss Act does
not require manufacturers to provide a written
warranty, it provides specific rules when one is
provided. Among those provisions, FTC regulations
state: “(c) No warrantor of a consumer product may
condition his written or implied warranty of such
product on the consumer’s using, in connection with
such product, any article or service (other than
article or service provided without charge under the
terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand,
trade, or corporate name; except that the prohibition
of this subsection may be waived by the Commission if
– ((1)the warrantor satisfies the Commission that the
warranted product will function properly only if the
article or service so identified is used in connection
with the warranted product, and (2) the Commission
finds that such a waiver is in the public interest.”
((42 U.S.C.2302(C))

Basically, THEY have to prove that my modification caused
the problem, not the other way around. I have the
right to replace ANY part on my vehicle in which they
do not provide for free to me. Whether it be motor
oil, gas, air filter (air intake), cat converter, etc.
This was seen recently when printer companies were
trying to void warranties because people did not use
name brand ink cartridges.
I have the right to sue, third party litigation, or
even go ot the BBB.
I really feel the line in their written warranty is
too vague (ie see Deceptive warranty terms).
They have no right to put such a vague line. I would
agree modifications in which alter such as turbo,
supercharging , and nitrous should void it. Although
their vague terms do not describe enough, that is
there fault not mine. They have no right to cancel.

I found some good info on: http://www.minimania.com/MM/The_Magnuson_Moss_Act.htm
"Most vehicle owners are not aware they are protected by federal law: the Magnuson-Moss Warranty – Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975. Under the Magnuson-Moss Act, aftermarket equipment which improves performance does not void a vehicle manufacturer’s original warranty, unless the warranty clearly and conspicuously states that aftermarket equipment voids the warranty. Most states have warranty statutes, as well. Which provide further protections for vehicle owners.

In other words, that means a dealer can’t wiggle out of his legal warranty obligation merely because you install aftermarket equipment. To find out if any aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle’s warranty, check the owner’s manual. It is likely the language you are looking for appears under a heading such as “What Is Not Covered” Although the language seems negative, remember your vehicle manufacturer is simply saying he does not cover the aftermarket products themselves. He is not saying that the products would void the vehicle warranty."

Tell me what you think , I am open for advice This is
for over $2000, so it is worth it to me to pursue.

The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop and avoid them. To file a complaint, you can call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357), or use the online complaint form https://rn.ftc.gov/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 . The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel, a secure, online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide.
