stop teasing with that beautiful thing! drove by one today and it was a woman in her late 40's driving it, caught me off guard.

but the max has served me well so far, knock on wood. i also have no intentions of buying any other brands in the near future. (unless i fall into huge $$)

Absolutely! The Nissan product has done me well. I still race a Datsun 510 even, that got started 12 years ago!

I was going to post how $hitty Nissan quality really is. I can make a list of problems my car has gone to the dealer for or I have had to fix over the last 3 years that would be longer than that page. I am actually taking my car into the dealer in about 30 mins for a new front wheel bearing. My parents have owned many different makes of cars from 740il's to Ford Thunderbirds, and this car has had as much trouble(or even more, since the last Ford we owned was a 1988) with it as the Ford products that we have owned in the past.

i'm sorry but the fact that the g35 is the only other car you'd buy is just sad. I love my max and for what it is its great. But i'd take a z06 in a heartbeat. I've said it already today but my favorite car is a 69 trans am and a 69 camaro zl1, runs 10.4 stock on slicks,

Man, that's sad, you must have a Lemon of a Car, mine is a 2k too with nothing other than new tranny at 48K and I now have 144K on it, it hasn't given me any problems, you sound like you got a bad deal, too bad dude, I feel sorry for your car and that you think all Nissan quality is poor.

Obviously, it is just your car.

Not really...Do a search of the TSB's and problems out for newer Maxima's. I have a lot of problems with my car that other owners have had. Brakes, Rattles, paint chips, etc etc. I will admit that I have had a few uncommon items fail on my car, such as my VIAS intake manifold. I am only aware of a few people who have had this problem actually rectified by Nissan. IMO a lot of people could be driving around with a broken VIAS and not know it, unless you dyno the car or go to the track.

its not just about drag racing. i love the way the car looks and the interior is awesome as well. if i ever get the chance to test drive one i'm sure i'd fall in love with the car. I'm thinking more luxry-minded and if i'm making enough money then i'll buy something to play with if i want to go faster.
