autometer guage lightbulb recommendations

has anyone trid putting a polarg 194 without the color condom in their autometer? will that be too bright? I havent mounted the guages yet so I havent experimented to see how things would look but just wondering before I go out and buy some bulbs. Also, does anyone have pics of their guages at night without the color condom on -just the clear 194 bulb lit.

A Polarg bulb will not be too bright and looks pretty nice.
I have wedge bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com that have 6 LEDs on the bulb. Personally I think LEDs are the way to go. You can get a variety of colors and they are very bright, especially the 4-LED or 6-LED bulbs.
Here's a pic...

I've seen the 4-LED white bulbs in a set of Autometer gauges and they look great, defintiely better than the Polarg bulb does.

LED is the way to go, they'll never blow out and they're bright as hell.

Freddie- The 4-LED bulbs have 4 regular 5mm LEDs on it and are very bright. The 6-LED bulbs have 6 smaller 3mm LEDs on it and are also very bright. I'd say the 6-LED bulbs are brighter, but either one you get is very bright.
