Hate to burst your bubble, but the guy wasn't racing you or wasnt driving.

when you start riding.. after about 5 months of riding on the street.. come back and read your post.. and if you don't beat the **** out of yourself.. i don't know what..

when you ride a motorcycle.. you have to ride like everyone is out to kill you.. wait until you read the motorcycle boards about people who get killed everyday by motorist who pull the "i didn't see him" line. I said.. the best way to murder someone and get away with it is to put them on a motorcycle and hit them, because no one gives a fck a bout motorcyclist. I never cared so much about motorcyclist till i started riding and see how dumb people drive.

what year gixxer? the 96 - 00 600's are built with race position they require you to lean over the tank and it becomes uncomfortable. The 01 - 03 600's are more comfortable for taller riders.. the controls are a perfect reach for long hands... the tank is wide compared to the other 600's which allows your legs much more room. You also go to remember when riding to take one hand of the controls and rest your back as often as posible.. then it will take a toll.. me and my boys usually ride to NJ and no one has pain problems.. basically because we rest our hands often

I had my cousin ride my gixxer and he has an 03 R6 and he found it much more comfortable.. for one the gixxer feels like a nice low rider.. real comfortable.

I have ridden an 03 R6, (2) 03 CBR RR, an 02 zx6r and my bike.. and the most comfortable was the 02 zx-6r.. but now the 03 zx6r is full race ready.. the next best thing was my gixxer..

but since you are short it might be too much for you to be leaning over to reach the controls.. see basically i can reach my controls by still standing up.. but then again i wear size 14 shoes so my hands are long All those other 600's felt so skinny .. and the seat on the RR is so hard and uncomfortable. When i do burn outs.. i can stand upright.. still holding the controls and the bike is inbetween my legs..

thats why i tell people.. always ride the bike that is comfortable for you... not the latest and greatest thing
