Apexi Problems

I installed an Apex'i WS cat back on my '96 GXE and i love it except that i have had some problems.

It dosent fit right under the bumper - It sits too high and to the left. The arms extend out from the muffler so fat that they are streching the rubber atachments.

I have a rattling noise at certain RPM's

And i have alot of noise inside the cabin - I assume this is related to the rattling. I have not yet been able to figure out where it is rubbing/hitting the underside of the car but it sounds like it is back near the right rear tire.

I am somewhat annoyed that i spent this money and now i am going to have to take it to a muffler shop so that i can get the muffler rehung and figure out the rubbing sound.

I had the same rattle on my WS...I fixed it by just wrapping one of the hangers which was hitting the back tow hook(I think)with a piece of rubber hose..solved the rattle.

AHHHAAH!!!!!! Ill try that. To fix my placement issue i have temporarily wedged a piece of folded paper between the left hanger and the spare tire well. Two sheets of paper adjusted it to fit perfectly LOL

If you did it yourself, did you remove the towing hitch on the right? Also the connection at the CAT might be off and/or the b-pipe/muffler connection is off. I had a shop install it and it's perfect...
