stereo install problem

I Just got my max. Its a 93 with 91k miles. The problem is.... no radio. I was going to put one of my cd players in it but there is no antenna wire. But there is a little wire with 2 prongs on it. Is that the antenna wire, or has it been cut off??? And I dont seem to be gettting enough power to run the deck, it cuts on and off. Any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

That is the antenna wire. Depending on your head-unit, you have to get an adapter kit to install it.

If you aren't getting enough power to run the deck, I suggest that you run a power wire (12 guage should be ample to feed a regular head unit). Go trace out the wire, and look for the wire which powers the deck. Run a awire straight from the postive battery terminal to your deck, but make sure you fuse this wire with about a 20amp fuse close to ur battery (within 18").

you need an adapter/harness to run your CD player, ask the audio forum
