tip on changing PS fluid

I was siphoning my fish tank and had an idea, it actually worked well.

Get a piece of hose, like you use to bleed the brakes, put one end in the PS and suck some through the hose (don't drink of course) and then lower the end into a jar. You get a little more fluid than what you can get from the turkey baster!

Ummmmm, there's a LOT more PS fluid than what's in that tiny reservoir. there's 1/2 quart at most in there, and there's about 5 qts of fluid in the entire system.

i gotta agree with Matt. After doing this several times, I still have burnt smelling fluid in there. have almost changed out one quart. It seems the same as before. Dark red burnt smelling fluid. There's gotta be way more than inside the canister.
